The Carolina Hurricanes got some revenge for their opening season loss with a 3-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday night at the PNC Arena. The victory is the fourth win in a row for the Canes.
Noah Hanifin and Elias Lindholm notched their first goals of the season while Victor Rask scored his eighth.
Cam Ward continued his hot streak in November by making 28 saves on 29 shots.
Brock McGinn woke up both teams with a rousing hit along the boards. The Jets spent most of the game trying to retaliate for the hit and ended up making a parade to the penalty box. Two of Carolina’s goals were powerplay goals.
The Canes will travel on the road for their next three games which will be in Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa.
