The Carolina Hurricanes won their fifth game in a row with a 2-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night in Toronto.

The NHL’s second star of the week, Cam Ward, went the distance with another excellent performance.  He made 25 saves on 26 shots and extended his record to 6-1-2 in November.

Jeff Skinner scored his eighth of the season by battling in front of the net on a Derek Ryan shot.  The puck bounced in the net off of him while he drove and fought his way to the paint.

Viktor Stalberg scored the game-winner with a shorthanded goal as he took a perfect pass from Elias Lindholm.  Stalberg broke into the clear and beat goalie Frederik Andersen with a nifty shot.

The Canes will next play on Thanksgiving night in Montreal.
